Just north of hell

O.k. I know it's been awhile since I have posted anything. My life is full. Not busy or hectic or rottenly overwhelming, just full. A type of full that doesn't wear you down but doesn't lift you up either. I also know that it was my (& PR's) decision to move here, away from friends and family. But it has it's benefits. No traffic on out street to keep us up or worried for the safety of our children, no noisy neighbors discussing their ills at the top of their lungs and no one to tell me how many trees and of what kind to plant. We do, however, have a lot of dust, and one noisy rooster. We are pretty isolated. And we were hot, hot, hot! That's why were refer to our ten acres as "Just north of hell". Living here is bittersweet. My four children love it here and that makes the dirt, the heat, and the occasional scorpion or snake worth it. Besides it's practice for the after life - if I don't make the cut!
